The L Word - Bollywood Ishtyle?

So I am thinking who would you cast from the Hindi Film industry?

For Jenny's character my almost instant choice is Kangana Ranaut. The woman excels in psychotic, neurotic kinda roles...and what's more to Jenny than this.

Kangana = Jenny = Perfect casting.

My vote is for:

Sushmita Sen to play Bette.
Vidya Balan/Rani Mukherjee = Tina
Sonam Kapoor = Alice

Kangana is crazy yes, but sadly she doesn't even have Jenny's class. Crazy fuck jenny turned out to be eventually, but she was is highly articulate. as is mia kirshner. Kangana's a villager, but still, could be a total loon.

I though of Sush as Bette, but then I realised that Bette is Bette & there is no else like her. & while Sush seems very Alpha female, in every single movie she's some sort of sati savitri/bimbo type character. I think Lisa Ray'd be a decent choice, considering "I can't think straight". And If not, she'd have to be Helena.

While I'm sure there'll be many disagreeing with me, but I've always found Tina the blandest character ever. One tight slap candidate. I only like the JB-LH chemistry. So yeah, that description fits almost every bollywood heroine. Anyone would do. Katrina'd be my pick.

Can't think of anyone as awesomely funny as Leisha Hailey.

Nor anyone as boyish (though not in a butch way) as Shane.

But I'd have to have Deepika somewhere, so I'd cast her as Carmen so I get two seasons of eye candy.

I'd like Sonam Kapoor as Dana. Or Sheetal Sheth.

I'd rather not have a Kit, because I really dunno what "baby girl/ baby sis" would end up as in Hindi.

I'd also want Shobhana, Lara Dutta, Sheetal Malhar thrown in somewhere.

Totally dig Shobhana as Bette - She has this strange older woman allure that goes both ways.

Deepika as Carmen ? omg, soooo spot on!
Kangana as Jenny would be a good fit - she wouldn't even have to try hard for the crazy look.

Vidya Balan may work as Tina - a more appealing, less bland Tina , but do Shobhana & Vidya Balan have chemistry ? ummmm.....

Lisa Ray has a lot of physical similarity with Rachel Shelly aka Helena - and Helena is quite the laugh fest - Think Lisa Ray can do a fine job there!

Kajol as Leisha/Alice. Yep. ( One can dream, can't they?)

Perfection is Sonam Kapoor as Dana - Blubbering, Unsure, New...

What about Bipasha as Shane ? It wouldn't be the exact fit - but I'd think she'd give an edge to that character and could probably have anything that walks when she wants ( Like Shane )

Shilpa Shetty / Nandita Das / Rani mukherjee should be there too.....!

Im the most concerned about who plays bette... like Jane Doe said, bette is just bette <fans her flushing cheeks furiously>

Also, what do you reckon they'd call the show...?! :-/

I like the idea of Deepika playing Carmen de la pica Morales :P
But I definitely think that Jiah Khan should be one of Shane's one night stands. This would be depicted by a wonderful kinky item song by Jiah Khan. Just like the one in the movie 'Houseful'
